Pulsar Challenger GS 1x20 Night Vision Monocular and Headmount
Perfect for walking at night while using a thermal imager
Walking at night is easier, safer and stealthier with a Pulsar Challenger GS 1×20 night vision head-mount kit. The Challenger GS can be focussed to provide a clear image of the ground in front, enabling you to avoid potholes, trip hazards and sticks that crack under foot. 1x magnification produces an undistorted image with natural spatial awareness.
Features include a high resolution CF-Supertube image intensifier tube, fully multicoated R-Contact optics, rugged high impact glass-filled polymer body and IP56 (IEC 60529) waterproofing. The Challenger is powered by one CR123 battery. Do not expose the Challenger GS to strong light or daylight.
Headmounted
The supplied headmount is comfortable for hands-free use whilst on the move. An built-in Infrared illuminator provides enough illumination for walking in total darkness. We often use a Challenger on one eye while using a thermal monocular with the other eye while walking and spotting.
An optional Stenheller 850 IR illuminator can be used to provide an invisible yet powerful spotlight.
Hand-held monocular
The Pulsar Challenger GS 1×20 can also be used as a hand held monocular. An optional doubler lens is available for increasing magnification and viewing distance. This set-up can spot light sources, such as torches, at very long distances. Ideal for farm security.
Shooting with the Challenger GS
You can also fit the Pulsar Challenger GS 1×20 to a low recoiling rifle, such as rimfires, .44mag and .223 etc. Add an optional 850 IR illuminator to provide additional illumination. These are the options:
• A Pulsar HS Weaver rail mount is available for fitting the Challenger GS to an IR laser sight. Suitable for low recoiling rifles, such as .223, .44mag, and rimfires.
• The Challenger GS 1×20 can be fitted to the rear of a riflescope with an optional Pulsar DOS riflescope mount. This uses the riflescope crosshairs for shooting.
